  • ReStore Cash & Floor Support Associate

ReStore Cash & Floor Support Associate

Status: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Open and close of point of sale
  • Assist customers through the in-store check out process
  • Ensure accurate pricing
  • Answer the phones and provide support to callers as required
  • Support ReStore customers with location and selection of merchandise
  • Answer questions in a professional, friendly manner
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of merchandise
  • Merchandise product and contribute to the cleanliness of ReStore
  • Facilitate walk-in donations from public
  • Support volunteers in various tasks ensuring they adhere to policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Resolve shopper and donors’ issues as necessary
  • Help maintain a self and healthy work environment
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Hard worker who is passionate about Habitat for Humanity’s mission and vision
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional, friendly disposition
  • Able to work independently and as part of the ReStore Team
  • Knowledge of home improvement items
  • Able to work on your feet for long periods of time
  • Able to lift and load merchandise weighing 50 pounds

Manager of Finance and Administration

Status: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all elements of financial oversight and management
  • Manage all aspects of accounting, financial record keeping and reporting and analysis, including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, and fundraising activities
  • Lead and manage the financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and forecasting processes
  • Provide full oversight to the audit process including any follow-ups and filings as required
  • Develop and implement financial controls, systems, metrics, internal reporting, and analysis
  • Actively participate in the Board of Director’s Finance Audit and Risk Committee
  • Manage mortgage and property tax payments monthly, and produce annual mortgage statements
  • Responsible for confidential payroll functions ensuring controls are in place and all legal requirements are met in a timely fashion
  • Administer benefits program and liaise with the service provider as required
  • Oversee and manage IT and Administration contracts, services, operations and relationships
  • Administer leases and act as main point of contact with landlords at multiple locations
  • Work cross-functionally to support and improve organizational initiatives
  • Support the development and implementation of policies and standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Post-Secondary Education (accounting designation preferred)
  • Accounting and finance management experience (not-for-profit expertise preferred)
  • Ability to compile, analyze, interpret, and present complex financial reports, statements, and/or projections to a variety of stakeholders including Board of Directors and Affiliate Staff
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Accounting Software, and payroll systems
  • Autonomous and independent individual who establishes priorities and objectives, implements/monitors action plans, and communicates status in a timely and effective manner
  • Deeply committed to developing an understanding of Habitat for Humanity Hamilton’s agency mission, vision, and programs and how they relate to budget and day-to-day operational management
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, initiative, and a high degree of confidentiality

Digital Lead

Status: Commencing as soon as possible for 52 weeks
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: $40,000 to $48,000, including benefits, dependent on qualifications and experience

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Project manage the digitalization of both Hamilton ReStore locations.
  • Maintain, improve, and grow our eCommerce website.
  • Coordinate with Hamilton ReStore staff to create order fulfillment procedures
  • Develop training documents and Standard Operating Procedures for implementing new ReStore digital technologies
  • Manage the day-to-day execution of social media posts, content, and engagement for the Hamilton ReStores
  • Manage the day-to-day execution of online marketing for the Hamilton ReStores
  • Manage project schedule and budget to comply with our OTF grant requirements
  • Track and manage project action items and key decisions
  • Provide internal and external communications and reports relating to project deliverables and outcomes
  • Regularly communicate with team members to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Support with other tasks and duties, as assigned
  • Degree or diploma in relevant field, or an applicable combination of education and experience
  • Marketing and/or digital background
  • Experience implementing new digital platforms and transitioning platforms
  • Excellent web and digital project management skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and creative problem-solving skills
  • An eye for detail
  • Comfortable in front of senior leadership, as well as major internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience with digital platforms (WordPress, Salesforce, Mailchimp, Shopify)
  • Understanding of CASL compliance is considered an asset
  • Experience in the not-for-profit sector is considered an asset
  • Point-of-sale experience is considered an asset
  • Adobe Creative Suite knowledge is considered an asset
  • Ability to understand and analyze data is considered an asset
  • Able to deliver a clean police check
  • Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid G class license
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, as necessary
