Stress. Anger. Depression. We all feel them sometimes, but when they become a constant presence, every part of our lives suffers, and things may start to spiral out of control. The outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) may be stressful for people. Fear and anxiety about a disease can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions. The search for employment can also be stressful and overwhelming. When feelings of stress, depression and anxiety become a constant feeling, many parts of our lives can suffer. Implementing strategies to cope with stress will make you, the people you care about, and your community stronger. This facilitated workshop will introduce you to some basic facts about stress, anger, and anxiety disorders, as well as some strategies for dealing with them when navigating through your search for employment. It will also offer tips to support mental health amid concerns of COVID-19 pandemic.
