Situation
Kimberly was looking for full time employment after being laid off during the COVID-19 pandemic. After searching for a few months, she heard about VPI’s services and got in touch.
Kimberly met with one of our expert Employment Generalists, and together, they worked on a plan. With her Employment Generalists help, Kimberly perfected her resume and Linkedin Profile.
She also participated in online workshops like Self-Reliance, Critical Thinking, and Digital Literacy to help her boost confidence with her job search.
Because we work directly with employers, we have access to a pool of open job opportunities, even during a pandemic. Kimberly’s Employment Generalist sent her jobs related to her interest and helped build her confidence by coaching her through the interview process.
Although Kimberly’s initial interview did not end with a job offer, her confidence made such an impression that the employer found another suitable role for her and hired her.
