Situation
When Denia came to VPI for help with her job search she had a clear idea of the type of job she wanted. But she was not sure what steps to take to achieve her goal.
Denia met with Career Specialists and together they came up with a plan to give her the best chance at landing a job in Office Administration. Denia participated in in-person and online workshops to improve her interview skills, develop her resume and target her job search.
With VPI’s support, Denia went on multiple interviews and was offered three different positions. She was able to pick the one that most closely matched her goals.
Even after securing a position, Denia’s Career Specialists provided continued support. Through one-on-one coaching she learned to better communicate with her managers and continues to work at her dream job.
