Starting in February, we’re kicking off a new set of the Youth Job Connection workshops in Etobicoke, Kincardine, Oshawa, Ajax and Georgetown:
- Etobicoke: February 1st or 15th
- Kincardine: February 6th
- Oshawa: February 6th
- Georgetown: February 6th or 27th
- Ajax: February 13th

This program includes four components:
- Free appointment with one of our Job Placement Specialist (JPS)
- Paid workshops (pre-employment training)
- Paid work placement and support to help you get a job
- Free support before, during and after we get you a job
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
FREE PRE-EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT
You will meet with a dedicated Job Placement Specialist to determine your career goals and the type of support you need to be successful.
Based on need, you will be eligible for additional supports that help set you up for success, such as:
- Daycare: This includes emergency child and parental care
- Transportation: Transit and parking reimbursements to help you get to and from interviews/work
- Clothing: Work-specific clothing and uniforms (e.g. work boots, etc.)
PAID WORKSHOPS
These training sessions are short-term workshops designed to help you get ready for work. Participants are paid $11.40/hour to attend the workshops.

- Learn how you can use social media to help you network and land a job
- Learn financial planning strategies for responsible saving and spending
PAID JOB PLACEMENTS
While you are attending the workshops, we’ll be busy behind the scenes, looking for job opportunities that are a good fit for you. We’ll work together every step of the way, from critiquing your resume and interview preparation, to a post-interview feedback and preparing for your first day!
