Work as a Language Interpreter

Multilingual Community Interpreter Services [www.mcis.on.ca] is looking for bilingual or multilingual candidates to work as Community Language Interpreters.

MCIS is a non-profit organization funded by the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration.

Terms of Employment: Freelance, Casual, On Call.
Start Date: ASAP
Compensation: $25 – $45 per hour.
Requirements: Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.) considered an asset
Education: Completion of high school. Having higher education is an asset.
Experience: Interpreting for children is a definite asset
Languages: Speak and read English and at least one other language proficiently.
Essential Skills: Reading text, oral communication, working with others, problem solving, job task planning and organizing, significant use of memory, finding information, continuous learning
