Complying with Accessibility Standards for Customer Service (Ontario Regulation 429/07)

As business owners, you’re acutely aware of the phrase, “Not knowing the law does not exempt you from it.” Such is the case with a relatively new law affecting all public sector employers in Ontario.

The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act stipulates that accessibility training, policies and operational documentation must be in place by January 1, 2012 in order to offer accessible service to all persons with disabilities. Failure to comply with the law can result in fines of up to $100,000 per day.

vpi understands the law and its nuances so we’ve developed a series of four workshops designed to provide you and your employees with comprehensive training to ensure 100% compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act legislation.

We can also help you fast-track your compliance by:
  • Reviewing your current policy and procedures
  • Making legislation-compliant recommendations in the area of policy development
  • Customizing the AODA content and delivery to meet your organization’s unique training needs.  Sessions vary in length and can be facilitated in-person or online
Please contact a vpi specialist today to learn more about our AODA Training Programs and how we can help your company achieve compliance.
