Situation
Andrew’s long-term career goal is to become a certified and licensed electrician. He knew that the best way to achieve his goal was to find a job in the trades where he could work as a first-year apprentice. But he was having trouble getting started.
After hearing about VPI from friends, Andrew scheduled an appointment and met with one of our expert Job Placement Specialists. His Job Placement Specialist answered his questions about starting a career in the trades and helped him connect with a local electrical contractor who was hiring.
Within two weeks of his first appointment with VPI, Andrew was hired as an apprentice with the local electrical contractor and is on his way to achieving his long-term career goals.
